When ORBX decided to sell their sceneries directly ( ORBX Direct) instead of using FSS (Flight Sim Store) they moved all licenses to their database. Often they were always a result of using old installers (downloaded from the Flight Sim Store). Some users reported problems with ORBX sceneries.
Up-to-date ORBX Libraries are required for sceneries to work properly. Products that need to be updated are marked with a red label (next screenshot – FTX Global NA Airport Pack).Ĭlick a product tile to see detailed information and options.Ĭontrol Panel and User Guides are available only for some products. Click on such product to be redirected to the store. Two products are darkened – meaning I need to buy them (New Zealand). On the screenshot above you can see the selection of add-ons in Oceania. ORBX sceneries were divided into four product lines: Global, Europe, North America, Oceania. Then just click on a scenery you wish to buy or install. You need to log in to FTX Central with the email and password you used in ORBX Direct store. It’s a small app that manages ORBX content in your FSX and Prepar3d. Then, to install your new sceneries, download FTX Central.

Purchase and installation – ORBX Direct.I think they also still have a free Iceland demo. You can check out the regions yourself by downloading ORBX's free section of the Pacific Northwest (PNW), which has all the enhancements of the full package, just covering the Olympic Peninsula and such, and doesn't expire. Apparently they're no longer pushing a Mesh product that I never messed with (don't recall its name). I also have the North American Freeware Packs, which provides a lot of ORBX-style airports across North America, best used with Global Base, at least. I also have all the North American regional packages, basically from Southern Cal to Southern Alaska, which also includes enhanced airports, and much else, and that makes a huge area of beautiful scenery.
I've got Global Base and Vector, which improve the world, with openLC_NorthAmerica and the only problems I've encountered are conflicts with UT (Terrain, not Traffic), which I've resolved in the Library. The ORBX regional packages include an improved mesh.
